New Delhi, Oct. 4 -- Mark Sanchez, former New York Jets quarterback and current FOX broadcaster was stabbed early Saturday morning in downtown Indianapolis. The 38-year-old, known for his remarkable college career at USC and a decade-long pro tenure, is fighting for his life in critical condition at a local hospital.

Authorities responded to the violent incident just after 12:30 AM, finding Sanchez among two injured individuals.

Sanchez was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played four seasons with the New York Jets before in joining teams including Philadelphia, Dallas and Washington.
