The 38-year-old, known for his remarkable college career at USC and a decade-long pro tenure, is now in stable condition, recovering in a local hospital after the violent attack, FOX Sports confirmed.
A suspect has been detained, according to local outlet WTHR, as authorities investigate the unsettling disturbance.
