New Delhi, Sept. 2 -- Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil has issued a two-month deadline to the Maharashtra government, demanding the issuance of a Government Resolution (GR) formally recognising Marathas and Kunbis as belonging to the same community.
On Tuesday, the Bombay High Court permitted Jarange to continue his ongoing protest at Mumbai's Azad Maidan until Wednesday morning. The order followed Jarange's request for additional time, during which he assured the court that the majority of his supporters had already departed from the city or would do so by the evening.
