New Delhi, Oct. 2 -- At least two people were killed and three others were injured after an assailant rammed a car into crowd and stabbed people outside a synagogue in Manchester in northwest England. Greater Manchester Police said officers shot and killed the suspect and the wounded are in a "serious condition".

The attack took place as people gathered at an Orthodox synagogue on Yom Kippur, the day of atonement and most solemn day in the Jewish calendar.
