New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- Karim Adeyemi needed just one game to show why Barcelona signed him. The German forward scored on his competitive debut, helping the champions to a dominant 5-0 win away at Elche in the opening match of the new La Liga season.

Barcelona started their title defence on the road at Estadio Martinez Valero. Raphinha converted a penalty in the 14th minute to put the visitors ahead.
