New Delhi, April 1 -- Jain Acharya Padmasagarsurishwarji Maharaj on Tuesday commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership, describing it as beneficial for the country.

Speaking at an event in Gandhinagar, Acharya highlighted the Prime Minister's governance style, calling it principled and focused on development and public welfare.

He also pointed to Modi's personal discipline, simplicity and clarity of vision as defining aspects of his leadership.

Referring to recent global challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, Acharya said the Prime Minister's leadership during difficult periods had been noteworthy.

The remarks were made in the presence of followers and attendees at the programme.
