New Delhi, March 26 -- The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to kick-off in just two day's time when defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tournament opener at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on March 28.

Like the previous seasons, IPL 2026 will have 74 matches (70 in league stage and 4 in knockouts), with each team playing 14 matches each. After initially announcing the first phase due to uncertainty regarding Assembly Election dates, the BCCI on Thursday announced the complete schedule. The IPL 2026 league stage ends on May 24 with KKR playing Delhi Capitals at home.
