IPL 2026: KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane proud of his team despite falling short of playoffs: 'Every individual put in.'
New Delhi, May 25 -- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) suffered a 40-run loss to Delhi Capitals (DC) in their final match of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Sunday, 24 May, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The three-time champions have had a mixed season.
They began the season with five losses in six games (one no result), but bounced back strongly with six wins in their next seven matches.
Both KKR and DC's eliminations, though, were confirmed before their face-off as Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) to take the fourth playoff spot with 16 points.
