New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- India batting coach Sitanshu Kotak provided a massive update on Rishabh Pant after the wicketkeeper-batter was retired hurt on Day 1 of the second Test against Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. The incident took place on the final session of the day, when Pant attempted to pull a short ball from Lahiru Kumara behind the square.

Known for his unorthodox kind of approach with the bat, Pant, however, couldn't connect and the ball crashed onto his left arm. He was seen grimacing in pain after copping the blow and was immediately attended by the Indian team physiotherapist.
