IMD weather forecast today: Arunachal, West Bengal, Sikkim brace for heavy rains; heatwave in Odisha
New Delhi, April 18 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, and Sikkim for today, April 18.
The latest IMD press release read: "Isolated Heavy rainfall with lightning and thunderstorm very likely over Arunachal Pradesh during 18th - 21th; Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 18th & 19th April."
Meanwhile, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh are bracing for a heat wave.
"Heat wave conditions very likely in isolated pockets of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during 17th-19th; Odisha during 17th-20th; Marathawada, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema and Telangana on 17th & 18th April," the IMD said.
