New Delhi, May 3 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued a "red alert" for severe thunderstorms and hailstorms for Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), with some parts of the national capital placed under an "orange" alert, as residents were advised to be prepared for potentially-disruptive weather conditions.
