New Delhi, Sept. 20 -- President Donald Trump on Friday signed an executive order introducing a $100,000 application fee for H-1B visas in a bid to aiming to reduce 'overuse of the program'.
"We need great workers, and this pretty much ensures that that's what's going to happen," Trump said from the Oval Office while signing the order.
Since taking office in January, Trump has kicked off a wide-ranging immigration crackdown, including moves to limit some forms of legal immigration. The step to reshape the H-1B visa program represents his administration's most high-profile effort yet to rework temporary employment visas.
