New Delhi, Aug. 21 -- Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel held a one-to-one meeting with Walmart executive vice-president and global public policy and government affairs head Dan Bryant in Washington, D.C., to discuss ways to improve the quality of the state's MSMEs and expand their access to global export opportunities.

The meeting was held on Wednesday as part of Patel's week-long US-Canada visit with a Gujarat delegation. Patel arrived in Washington after completing his engagements in San Francisco.

The discussions centred on Gujarat's large MSME base and the need to improve quality standards to make small businesses more competitive in international markets.
