New Delhi, May 16 -- The yellow metal's rates in India gained nearly 1% in the domestic futures market on Wednesday, continuing to trade above the Rs.150,000 level over the last few sessions. On 16 May, MCX Gold June contracts were priced at Rs.153,155 per 10 grams, while MCX Silver May contracts stood at Rs.248,696 per kg.

In the retail market, 24-karat gold was priced at Rs.157,900 per 10 gm, while 22-karat gold stood at Rs.144,759 per 10 gm. Silver (999 fine) was priced at Rs.289,900 per kg, according to Indian Bullion Association data.
