New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- New York Yankees power hitter Giancarlo Stanton has hit another major roadblock in his recovery, leaving his chances of playing again this season very much up in the air. Manager Aaron Boone shared the disappointing news Saturday after the veteran slugger suffered a moderate-grade left calf strain while working his way back from a previous right calf issue.

Stanton has been on the injured list since late April. He was getting close to rejoining the lineup when the new injury struck this week as he fell while running the bases during a rehab session.
