New Delhi, June 2 -- World No 1 Aryna Sabalenka edged out Japan's Naomi Osaka to reach the women's singles quarter-finals of the 2026 French Open in Paris on Monday. Sabalenka defeated Osaka 7-5, 6-3 in what was the first women's night match at the French Open since 2023.

In a tournament which has produced several shocking results across both men's singles and women's singles, Sabalenka will be hoping to go all the way and clinch her maiden French Open title.

Following her win over Naomi Osaka, Sabalenka entertained fans by doing Michael Jackson's famous moonwalk.
