New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway, along with the 76-km Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), also known as the capital's new outer ring road. The twin projects are aimed at easing pressure on the jam-packed NH-48 and cutting down travel time significantly. While the travel time between Delhi and Gurugram is expected to come down to 30 minutes, the new corridors will also reduce the Delhi-Noida journey to around 20 minutes. Key bottlenecks such as Dhaula Kuan, Ring Road and Mahipalpur are also likely to see relief.

Together, the projects are expected to transform connectivity between Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Jaipur.
