New Delhi, March 9 -- The Delhi High Court on Monday stayed the adverse remarks made by a trial court against the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and its investigating officer while discharging 23 accused - including Aam Aadmi Party leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia - in the Delhi excise policy case. The High Court also issued notices to all discharged accused and directed that proceedings in the connected money laundering case be deferred until it decides the CBI's challenge to the trial court verdict.
The order came as the court heard a criminal revision petition filed by the CBI seeking to overturn the February 27 decision of a special court that had discharged all accused persons in the case.
