Bengaluru and Mumbai, Oct. 5 -- The Maharashtra Charity Commissioner has asked the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT), the largest shareholder of Tata Sons, to respond to complaints filed by two of its trustees, Venu Srinivasan and Vijay Singh. The two have raised concerns about the trust's management and called for a prompt investigation.

In a letter sent to SDTT on Monday, along with copies of the complaints, the Charity Commissioner gave the trust until 12 October to reply, according to an executive familiar with the matter. The complaints were filed by Srinivasan, chairman emeritus of TVS Motor Co., and Singh, a former defence secretary.
