New Delhi, Sept. 26 -- Hurricane Humberto is now a Category 1 storm. According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami, it could turn into a major storm over the weekend. On early Friday morning, September 26, the storm was about 465 miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands in the Caribbean, with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph. Humberto is moving northwest at the speed of 3 mph, as per USA Today.

According to the NHC forecast, Humberto can be a major hurricane by September 28, and wind speeds can cross 110 mph by Sunday, when the storm is expected to be 1,100 miles east-southeast of Miami.
