New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- A gas explosion at the Bronx's Mitchel Houses on Wednesday morning caused the incinerator shaft to partially collapse. The Department of Buildings is investigating the stability of the rest of the 17-story building, which reportedly had no affected apartments.
