New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- The BRICS Summit is bringing tighter security not only to Delhi's roads but also to its skies.

Special airspace restrictions are set to apply from 11 September to 13 September as New Delhi hosts the BRICS Summit, with security rules affecting flying activities within a 300-km radius of the capital, according to people familiar with the security advisory.

For airline passengers, however, there is an important distinction: Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport is not shutting down for regular commercial flights.
