BRICS Summit, Sept. 11 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin on 11 September, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi.

This was the second meeting between the two leaders this year. The two leaders had met earlier in Bishkek on the sidelines of the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit on 31 August 2026.

The two leaders reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, defence, energy, space, skills mobility, and people-to-people domains, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
