New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- India hosted the BRICS Summit 2026 in New Delhi on 12-13 September.

The high-profile gathering brought together leaders of BRICS member and partner countries, as well as outreach invitees. India is the BRICS Chair for the 2026 edition.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi are among the global leaders who attended the summit. Founding member Brazil sent Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira to stand in for President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to attend the summit in New Delhi.
