New Delhi, July 10 -- Bank of Maharashtra reported a 27% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs.2,020 crore for the quarter ended June 2026 (Q1 FY27) on Friday, 10 July, driven by healthy growth in interest income and an improvement in asset quality.

The state-owned lender had posted a net profit of Rs.1,593 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

According to a regulatory filing, total income rose to Rs.9,063 crore during the quarter from Rs.7,879 crore a year earlier. Interest income also increased to Rs.8,037 crore, compared with Rs.7,054 crore in the year-ago period.
