New Delhi, July 18 -- Axis Bank share price crashed over 7% in early trade on Friday after the private lender disappointed Dalal Street investors with weak Q1 results. Axis Bank shares fell as much as 7.4% to Rs.1,073.95 apiece on the BSE.
Axis Bank reported a 3.8% drop in its net profit for the fiscal first quarter ended June 2025 to Rs.5,806.14 crore from Rs.6,034.64 crore in the year-ago period.
The net interest income (NII) in Q1FY26 rose 0.8% to Rs.13,560 crore from Rs.13,448 crore, year-on-year (YoY). Net Interest Margin (NIM) during the quarter was at 3.80% as against 3.97% in the previous quarter and 4.05% in the year-ago period.
