New Delhi, Oct. 26 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated a new garment manufacturing unit of Arvind Limited in Varanasi, underlining the city's potential to attract industrial investments and boost manufacturing activity, with a focus on women's employment.

The facility is expected to strengthen Uttar Pradesh's textile and apparel industry and enhance the state's appeal as an investment destination.

The facility has been developed with an investment of approximately Rs.150 crore and is spread across 5.5 acres, with a built-up area of around 65,000 sq. ft.
