New Delhi, July 29 -- Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and MP Akhilesh Yadav took a swipe at the Centre, questioning why the ceasefire announcement between India and Pakistan came from Donald Trump before it was confirmed by the Defence Ministry.

In a sarcastic jibe, Akhilesh Yadav said it was expected that India would announce the ceasefire, but instead, the government had their "friend" Donald Trump do it.

Akhilesh Yadav was speaking in the Lok Sabha during a debate on Operation Sindoor.
