New Delhi, Aug. 26 -- Law enforcement is responding to reports of an active shooter at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The incident was first reported around 12:30 p.m. near Mullins Library, a central location on campus close to the Student Union.

The U of A Police Department (UAPD) is on campus, evacuating students and staff. Fayetteville police are assisting and clearing the library. Razorback Stadium is under lockdown as authorities continue to secure the area. As of 1:10 p.m., Fayetteville Police Sgt. Stephen Mauk stated there was no confirmed shooting.

At 1:29 p.m., the university sent a RazALERT notification stating: "Police are responding to multiple reports around campus. Continue to Avoid. Deny. Defend." Students we...
