New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The 8th Pay Commission, headed by Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, was constituted on 3 November 2025. On 3 September, the Commission will complete its 10-month tenure of the 18 months allocated to it and submit its final report with recommendations on salaries, allowances and pensions to the Union government.

Over the last few months, the 8th Pay Commission has met with stakeholders, pension bodies, and unions in Delhi, West Bengal, Ladakh and Uttar Pradesh to hear their grievances regarding payments, salaries and other work-related reforms.
