New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- At least 15 Delhi-bound flights, including three international, were diverted on Monday after heavy rain and thunderstorms disrupted operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport, according to Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL).

Of the 15 diverted flights, 12 were diverted to Jaipur, two to Chandigarh and one to Lucknow. Three of the flights diverted to Jaipur were international.

The diversions came as heavy rain lashed several parts of Delhi and surrounding regions, resulting in waterlogging and traffic snarls across the city.
