New Delhi, Oct. 6 -- A plane headed for New Jersey had to make an unscheduled landing after a disruptive passenger, who was wearing more than a dozen face masks, reportedly began stating that "Trump is here", gay people were "giving him cancer".

The Sun Country Airlines flight took off from Minneapolis en route to Newark on Friday morning but was forced to land in Chicago when the man's behaviour escalated and he started shouting, "the plane is going down", The New York Post reported.

Fellow passenger Seth Evans, who was seated across the aisle from the man, informed the Minnesota Star Tribune that the disruption began as soon as the plane took off, with the individual raving about being "gang chased" by gay people.
