New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- Former diplomat Navdeep Suri has raised questions over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Punjab, saying he was asked to provide proof of citizenship despite having served India as a diplomat in three nations.

Suri shared his experience on X on Sunday, saying he initially submitted his Voter ID and Aadhaar card to the booth-level officer (BLO). He said he was subsequently informed that some of his details did not match the electoral records used for the 2003 revision.
