New Delhi, Dec. 9 -- Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has called out paparazzi culture after a video of his girlfriend, Mahieka Sharma, surfaced online in what he described as an intrusive and disrespectful manner. The cricketer took to Instagram to express disappointment over photographers "crossing a line" while capturing her outside a Bandra restaurant.

In a strongly worded note, Hardik acknowledged that public attention comes with his profession - but requested that dignity should not be compromised for sensational visuals.

"Mahieka was simply walking down a staircase when paps decided to capture her from an angle that no woman deserves to be photographed from," he wrote. "A private moment was turned into cheap sensationalism."
