New Delhi, Nov. 4 -- As a kingdom teeters on the edge of defeat, its last hope rests on an extraordinary mission. 'Prime Video' announced 'Sacred Jewel', an epic new Korean historical drama starring Ahn Bo-hyun, Lee Sung-min and Claudia Kim.
Set in 1258 during the Goryeo Dynasty, after nearly three decades of relentless warfare against the Mongols, the kingdom stands on the brink of collapse. With defeat looming, a daring expedition emerges as the kingdom's last hope. Led by the determined young warrior Baek Gyul, an elite convoy embarks on a treacherous mission to recover a sacred jewel believed to possess miraculous powers capable of protecting Goryeo. As the group fights its way through enemy territory and ventures beyond the mountains toward the eastern sea, danger lurks at every turn. Meanwhile, Princess Wang Hee races to their aid, setting the stage for a journey where the fate of a kingdom and the lives of those fighting for it hang in the balance.
Ahn Bo-hyun takes on the role of Baek Gyul, a fiercely determined and intelligent young warrior whose stubborn nature is matched only by his unwavering convictions. Joining him is Lee Sung-min as Choi Gu, a legendary warrior whose reputation was forged through hundreds of battles. Claudia Kim portrays Princess Wang Hee, the emperor's youngest daughter, whose striking beauty and icy demeanour conceal a life marked by heartbreak.
