Kolkata, Nov. 6 -- The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) on Thursday published the preliminary interview lists for recruitment to Group C (Clerk) and Group D non-teaching posts under the first State Level Selection Test (SLST), 2025.
Around 38,000 candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process against 8,477
vacancies across the two categories, according to sources.
There are 5,488 vacancies for Group D posts, for which around 27,000 candidates have been shortlisted.
For Group C (Clerk) posts, 2,989 vacancies have been notified, with around 11,000 candidates making it to the preliminary interview list.
The Commission said the lists had been prepared on the basis of revised vacancy details submitted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE).
Candidates on the preliminary lists will have to undergo physical verification of their original testimonials, educational qualification certificates and other relevant documents, followed by an oral interview.
The schedule for document verification and interviews will be notified separately on the Commission's websites.
The recruitment examinations for Group C and Group D posts were conducted separately in March this year.
The results were published nearly seven months after the examinations.
