India, April 25 -- Strengthening legislative oversight over public expenditure, the Delhi Legislative Assembly has announced the appointment of chairpersons for its three key Financial Committees for 2026-27. Vijender Gupta said the move reinforces the Assembly's commitment to transparency, fiscal discipline and institutional accountability. According to the announcement, Ajay Mahawar has been appointed Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts, Raj Kumar Bhatia will head the Committee on Government Undertakings, and Gajender Singh Yadav has been named Chairman of the Committee on Estimates. The members of these committees had already been notified earlier this month.
