Lucknow, Sept. 21 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has reshuffled the responsibilities of 10 senior IAS officers, bringing changes in key departments including power, health, medical education, higher education, agriculture and food and logistics.
Additional Chief Secretary Amit Kumar Ghosh has been shifted from Medical Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education to Higher Education.
Ashish Kumar Goel, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy and Additional Energy, has been moved to Labour and Employment. He was also chairman of UPPCL, UP Power Transmission Corporation, UP State Electricity Generation Corporation and UPSLDC.
Ranveer Prasad, Principal Secretary, Food and Logistics and Consumer Affairs and Commissioner, Food and Logistics, will now head the Energy and Additional Energy departments.
V Heckali Zhimomi, Principal Secretary, Forest and Environment and Climate Change, has been appointed Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare and Principal Secretary, Medical Education.
Mahendra Prasad Agrawal has been shifted from Higher Education to Forest and Environment and Climate Change. Anil Kumar has been moved from Panchayati Raj to Food and Logistics and Consumer Affairs and will also serve as Commissioner, Food and Logistics.
Amrit Abhijat, Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs, has been given additional charge of Transport. Archana Agrawal, who held the portfolio, is due to retire this month. MKS Sundaram has been shifted from Labour and Employment and Technical Education to Agriculture and related departments. Ravindra has been appointed Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj, while Amit Gupta has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Technical Education.
