India, Aug. 4 -- In a major breakthrough against digital crime, the Sealdah Government Railway Police (GRP), in a joint operation with the Rajasthan Police, nabbed three cyber fraudsters from the Sealdah Railway Station on Sunday night. The suspects, all hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, were reportedly on the run and attempting to flee India to reach Myanmar. According to sources, a specialized Cyber Crime unit from the Rajasthan Police had been tracking the trio following a string of high-value online fraud cases registered against them in Jaipur. It was also learnt that the trio used to operate from Cambodia. Recently, the accused persons identified as Jeetu Raj, Ravi Kumar and Anil Kumar arrived in India and were travelling to Myanmar. On Sunday, the cops of Sealdah GRP were informed by the Rajasthan Police about the trio's movement. They had boarded a train to Sealdah from Ajmer. On Sunday night the accused trio was intercepted by the cops of Sealdah GRP from the Sealdah railway station platform. Later, cops of Rajasthan Police arrived and took charge of the three accused. It was learnt that their plan was to go to the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata to board a flight and reach Myanmar. On Monday, the police took the three arrested persons on transit remand.
