New Delhi, Sept. 26 -- Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is expected to hold two rallies in Nandigram on October 2 and 4 in support of BJP candidate Hasirani Rath, who is contesting the upcoming byelection from the same Assembly seat.
Adhikari already predicted a resounding victory for Rath, mother of his slain personal assistant Chandranath Rath, in the Nandigram bypoll, claiming she would win by a record margin.
Recently, Adhikari joined party workers in a roadshow to the SDO office on the day Hasirani Rath filed her nomination papers, turning the nomination into a show of strength for the BJP ahead of the crucial bypoll.
Hasirani would win by such a big margin in Nandigram that no one has ever imagined, Adhikari had stated.
The Nandigram by-election was necessitated after Adhikari vacated the seat and retained the Bhawanipore assembly constituency.
Hasirani held a campaign in several parts of Nandigram on Saturday when she said that Nandigram's soil is Adhikari's soil and he is the last word here.
She carried out a door-to-door campaign braving the rains.
