New Delhi, Aug. 27 -- A three-year-old girl was attacked and allegedly bitten by a stray dog in Delhi's Shalimar Bagh on August 25, with CCTV footage showing the canine lunging at her near a parked car before fleeing.
The incident occurred in the CA Block area, where residents said the white dog is frequently seen. Footage showed the girl walking with her family towards their car when the dog emerged from under another vehicle and attacked her. A family member pulled her away and chased the dog.
Another CCTV clip showed the same dog attacking a woman in the area. The MCD said its Keshavpuram zone teams tried twice to catch the dog but it escaped. The civic body is seeking local assistance and plans to place the dog under observation at a Dwarka shelter. The girl was taken to a doctor after the attack.
