Kolkata, June 9 -- The state Health department has directed all district magistrates (DMs) to complete field verification of Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries and E-KYC exercise by June 25.

According to a directive issued by the state Health Department, a statewide field verification drive commenced on Tuesday. District administrations have been instructed to appoint verification officers not below the rank of Group B and deploy field-level personnel in blocks and municipalities to conduct door-to-door verification of beneficiaries listed in the National Food Security Act (NFSA) database.

District Magistrates have been authorised to determine the required number of verification officers. The order further states that e-KYC formalities must be completed for all eligible beneficiaries whose e-KYC remains pending in the NFSA database. Verification teams have been tasked with ensuring accurate identification and validation of genuine beneficiaries during the exercise.
