
Kolkata, Oct. 1 -- Kolkata Police on Thursday submitted a six-page report on the violence at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) to the Nabanna.
According to sources, the report, submitted to the Home and Hill Affairs department, stated that 23 people from both sides had been interrogated in connection with the incident. Police also said around 250 people had so far been identified for their alleged involvement in the violence. On Wednesday afternoon, the SIT, led by Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Kunal Agarwal, visited the SRFTI campus as part of its inquiry into the incident.
After scrutinising CCTV footage, the police interrogated 10 representatives of the SRFTI authorities, 10 students and two members of the Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat (ABGP) at Panchasayar police station.
The inquiry so far indicates the involvement of both groups in the incident. Sources said the police are now awaiting further instructions from Nabanna.
