Greater Noida, Sept. 27 -- A retired general manager of Udyog Bandhu Kendra, Lucknow, died after allegedly falling from a hotel window in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida, on Sunday morning. Hargovind Singh was in the city for the ongoing UP International Trade Show and was staying at a hotel in the area.
Police said the incident came to light when a hotel employee went to Singh's room to deliver tea. After receiving no response, the employee looked outside and found him lying on the ground. Police from Beta-2 station reached the spot, while forensic teams examined the scene.
Singh, a Lucknow resident, had retired as GM of Udyog Bandhu Kendra and was later given an extension by the state government. Police said he had dinner with friends on Saturday night and allegedly consumed alcohol.
The circumstances surrounding the fall are being investigated. His body was sent for postmortem.
