New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Sunday met Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim here over breakfast and discussed India-Malaysia ties as well as global and regional issues of importance.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was also present during the meeting. The Congress put out pictures and a video of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi from the meeting with Ibrahim.
In a post on X in Malay language, Ibrahim said, "Had the opportunity once again to meet my good friend, who is also the Leader of the Opposition in the Indian Parliament, Rahul Gandhi, this morning over breakfast."
This brief meeting provided space for us to exchange views on the latest international and regional developments, the visiting Malaysian prime minister said.
Ibrahim has come to attend the BRICS summit here. Gandhi also shared pictures from the meeting on his WhatsApp channel and said he had a warm and engaging conversation with Ibrahim.
