India, May 20 -- The Delhi Police have apprehended seven juveniles for allegedly stabbing a 16-year-old boy in an attempt to murder case in Shakurpur's Children's Park. Police received a PCR call regarding the incident on May 15 at around 8.17 pm under the jurisdiction of Subhash Place Police Station. On reaching the spot near H-Block Masjid Wali Gali, officers found the victim, identified as Sahid, critically injured with a knife lodged in the left flank region of his body. The teenager was immediately shifted to Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital and later referred to Safdarjung Hospital due to the seriousness of his injuries. A separate police vehicle also transported a medical team to ensure uninterrupted emergency care during transit. Police registered an FIR under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and formed a dedicated investigation team under Inspector Tej Pal Singh, supervised by ACP Srishti Bhatt. Using technical surveillance, local intelligence inputs and multiple raids, investigators apprehended seven children in conflict with law allegedly involved in the attack. Police said the knife used in the crime had been purchased online through Flipkart nearly three days before the incident. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the attack and identify the person who procured the weapon.
