India, Aug. 3 -- Security agencies have intensified investigations after a handwritten note containing details related to bomb-making was recovered from a 26-year-old paramedical student at Rajarshi Dashrath Autonomous State Medical College in Ayodhya. The student's mobile phone and laptop have been seized and sent for forensic examination after investigators found social media videos and internet searches related to explosives, according to sources. The student, a resident of Balrampur district, was pursuing an X-ray technician course at the medical college after enrolling in October 2025. He was taken into custody on Saturday after a handwritten note detailing the process of making explosives, along with references to chemicals and explosive devices, was found inside the X-ray section of the college. Police also sealed the student's rented accommodation near the college. Multiple agencies, including the ATS, IB, Military Intelligence and Local Intelligence Unit (LIU), joined the probe after the recovery. His internet search history allegedly contained queries related to explosives and methods of carrying out blasts. The mobile phone and other digital devices have been sent for forensic analysis to determine the origin of the material and whether it was merely accessed online or linked to any larger conspiracy. Security agencies are also scrutinising the student's social media activity, online chats and digital contacts. Investigators are trying to establish whether he had any links with extremist networks or had come under the influence of radical content circulated through social media. Officials, however, said no evidence has so far emerged to indicate his association with any banned organisation or terror outfit. Sources said agencies are examining every possible angle, including the possibility of online radicalisation. They are also verifying whether the student was in contact with any suspicious individuals or digital networks. Investigators are also gathering information about the student's movements inside the medical college and the people he frequently interacted with. His family background and recent activities are also being verified as part of the probe. During questioning, the student reportedly claimed that he had written the details after watching a film with fellow students in which bomb-making was depicted. He told investigators that he copied the information onto paper out of curiosity. Police are verifying this claim.
