India, Aug. 6 -- More than 4.25 lakh women have registered for the Delhi Laxmi Yojana, with nearly 1.5 lakh applications submitted on the online portal. An official said 4,25,631 registrations had been completed and 1,49,941 applications were submitted on the portal as of 4 pm on Thursday. On Tuesday, the portal had recorded more than 3 lakh registrations and 71,411 applications by 8 pm. CM Rekha Gupta on Thursday inspected a Delhi Laxmi Yojana camp in Shalimar Bagh, where she interacted with women beneficiaries and reviewed the registration process and arrangements at the camp. According to a statement, Gupta directed officials to ensure that applications of all eligible women are processed in a simple, transparent and time-bound manner so that beneficiaries do not face unnecessary difficulties. She said the objective was to ensure that the scheme's benefits reach every eligible woman with ease.
