
Kolkata, May 11 -- The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has opened the application process for Post Publication Scrutiny (PPS) and Post Publication Review (PPR) of Madhyamik 2026 answer scripts, with applications to be submitted online through schools till midnight on May 22.
According to a notification issued by the board, successful candidates can apply for PPS at a fee of Rs 80 per subject, while unsuccessful candidates are eligible to apply for PPR at Rs 100 per subject.
Candidates seeking PPS or PPR have been asked to submit applications to the heads of their institutions on plain paper stating the subjects for which scrutiny or review is sought, along with a photocopy of the marksheet and the prescribed fees in cash. Schools may additionally charge Rs 5 per candidate towards incidental expenses. The board said the entire process will be conducted online through wbbsedata.com by schools only. No manual applications or direct online applications from individual candidates will be accepted.
Under PPS, answer scripts are checked for scrutiny and retotalling, while under PPR the concerned answer scripts are reassessed. In a separate notification, the board said students seeking certified copies of Madhyamik answer scripts under the Right to Information Act, 2005, can apply within 75 days from the date of publication of results along with a fee of Rs 10. Applications are to be submitted to the respective regional offices of the board in white paper or in the prescribed format.
