New Delhi, Oct. 7 -- The Delhi Tourism department will organise a series of spiritual and heritage walks in Chittaranjan Park (CR Park) during Durga Puja to showcase the Bengali community's traditions, food, music, craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

CR Park, popularly known as "Mini Bengal", comes alive during the festival with Durga idols, thematic pandals, traditional rituals, dhak performances, cultural programmes, bhog and Bengali cuisine. The walks will offer visitors an opportunity to explore these aspects through curated storytelling and interactions with members of the local community.

A special walk for influencers was organised in CR Park on October 7 to familiarise digital creators with the area's spiritual and cultural heritage.

The walks will cover the history and evolution of CR Park and the Kali Mandir Society, idol-making and craftsmanship, traditional Puja practices, bhog preparation, eco-friendly immersion practices, prominent pandals, Bengali markets, food and music.

The walks are scheduled for October 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18 and 19. The programme includes morning and evening walks, with timings varying between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and 5 pm. and 8 pm. The walks cost Rs 500 plus GST per person.
